Rapper Vita Matanga faces up to six years in prison for insulting Interior Ministry officers in the track “Haiti” that went viral on social networks. The police and the Prosecutor General's Office listened to him and organized an investigation under two articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The reason is the line “I’m flying to Haiti, garbage, suck.” Ex-Ministry of Internal Affairs employee Andrei Zgonnikov, chairman of the Council of the Fathers of Russia, did not like her very much.
He asked law enforcement officers to check the artist under the articles “Humiliation of Human Dignity” and “Insulting a Representative of the Authority.” They are demanding a public apology from Matang and replacing the rude line with “I’m flying to Haiti, police officers, sorry.”
