Lipstick on a collar, on a phone, on a leather bag – this is everyday life for those who do makeup every day. It’s especially offensive when a bright stain remains on light leather or suede that cannot be wiped off even with a damp cloth. You cannot wash the bag, and dry cleaning is expensive and time-consuming.
But there is an easy way to remove lipstick in one minute without damaging the fabric or skin. You only need one product from your cosmetic bag – makeup remover oil.
The oil is designed to dissolve stubborn pigments and waxes that make up lipstick. It gently releases paint from the surface and does not leave a greasy residue if lightly wiped with a clean cloth.
Apply two or three drops of oil to a cotton swab or soft cloth. Gently scrub the stain, moving from the edge to the center. The lipstick will begin to dissolve within 10–15 seconds. Blot with a clean cloth and, if the surface allows, lightly wipe with a damp cloth. For the skin, you can apply a drop of cream afterwards to restore the protective layer.
This method works on leather, suede, fabric, plastic, and even your phone. The color of lipstick is not important.
To prevent your lipstick from leaving marks in the future, you can use a clear lipstick with a mirror, lightly powder your lips after application, or choose lipsticks labeled “non-marking.”
Now your favorite bag, collar and even glasses case will always be clean.
