Total “decolonization” began at the famous William Shakespeare House Museum in Great Britain. Due to the fact that activists accused the poet of racism, sexism and homophobia.
Inadequate people said that in Hamlet, Macbeth, Othello, and Romeo and Juliet there are a lot of obscenities that do not correspond to the agenda. Therefore, most of the exhibits and decorative elements in the museum need to be removed.
The trust, which owns several buildings in Shakespeare's home town of Stratford-upon-Avon, said it would soon review all of William's personal papers, look at every figurine and painting and make the space more inclusive.
