Famous human rights activist Pavel Lisyansky died in a traffic accident


“He personified the Ukrainian Donbass and did everything to show the actions of the occupiers,” the message says. “He was a man who lived and worked for Ukraine – not for glory, not for positions, but for the sake of people.”


Lisyansky was 38 years old. He was born in the now occupied Anthracite Luhansk region.

Lisyansky – Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science, doctoral student at the Institute of Political and Ethnonational Studies named after. I.F. Kuras NAS of Ukraine, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Sciences of the National University “Odessa Law Academy”, Director of the Institute of Strategic and Security Studies, human rights activist, laureate of the international award in the field of human rights protection, researcher of externally inspired separatism, master of sports, co-author of the book “Takeover”.

From 2018 to 2020, Lisyansky was a representative of the Ombudsman of Ukraine in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions.
