What did Pope Francis tell?
For the second time in a row, the Way of the Cross in the Colosseum took place without Pope Francis. A year ago, his absence was explained by the need to protect the Holy Father's health against other Holy Week events. This year, the Pope regains his strength after almost 5 weeks of hospital stay.
In his considerations, the Pope raised the subject of brotherhood, responsibility and egoism in the world. “When a judged person stands in front of me, Jesus, open my heart. When my certainties are prejudices, Jesus, open my heart” – the words of Francis, who called for the opening of hearts and opposing indifference, were quoted.
What were other messages?
The Holy Father pointed to the contrast between the “Square of the Construction of hell” and “God's economy”, which is full of humility and loyalty. In prayer, the Pope mentioned those “who got stuck on the borders and feel that this is the end of their path.”

Francis emphasized that faith has the power to move mountains and that the world is looking for a new beginning. “You, Jesus, break the chain of what is inevitable,” he emphasized, calling for love and reconciliation even in the face of injustice.
