Ethnographers asked Krasnoyarsk residents to be careful when choosing folk costumes for weddings

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the trend of holding weddings in folk costumes is gaining popularity. Couples are increasingly choosing traditional outfits for the ceremonial registration of marriage, thereby emphasizing the connection with cultural heritage and historical roots, the regional registry office notes.

However, ethnographic specialists turned to the newlyweds with a recommendation. They called for a responsible approach to choosing a national costume, since each of its elements – embroidery, ornament, color scheme – carries deep symbolism and reflects the identity of a particular people.

“Folk clothing conveys the wisdom and experience of previous generations and tells the story of their ancestors,” experts emphasize.
