It was supposed to be Russia's biggest attack this fall. “He was completely repelled”

Russian troops attempted a large-scale attack on the villages of Shakhove and Volodymyrivka, deploying 29 armored vehicles, making it one of the largest in recent months. According to Ukrainian media reports, the aggressors operated in small groups of four to five vehicles that moved on different routes and at different times. Russian planners used fog and difficult weather conditions to limit the visibility of drones and make them harder to detect from the air.
Ukrainian forces responded using previously prepared engineering positions, minefields and coordinated actions of various types of troops. Artillery units and drone systems played a key role in repelling the attack. “The attack, which lasted over six hours, was completely repulsed,” the military said.

The 33rd Independent Mechanized Brigade played an important role in the defense of Volodymyrivka. According to her report, the Russian attack took place in two waves. Ukrainian observers spotted at least six Russian vehicles equipped with anti-drone systems approaching the village.
Under artillery and drone fire, Russian transporters dropped troops into a forest belt on the outskirts of Volodymyrivka. However, they failed to achieve their intended goals. FPV drones and Unmanned Systems Force bombers, supported by two mechanized battalions of the 33rd Brigade, successfully pursued the scattered Russian infantry, inflicting heavy losses on them.
