The District Prosecutor's Office in Zielona Góra announced on Thursday about referring to the court an indictment against MP Łukasz Mejza. The MP heard 11 allegations, which mostly relate to false information or concealing them in property declarations.
The prosecutor's office initiated the investigation into property declarations on December 2, 2023.
The first group of charges against him concerns the provision of untruth or concealing the truth in seven deputy property declarations made in 2021-2024. The next one refers to giving untruth in three property declarations made by MEJA as the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and Sport.
The last one concerns the failure to comply with the MEJA report as a public official of the required information no later than within 30 days to the register of benefits kept by the Speaker of the Sejm.
The MP in this matter resigned with immunity. He does not admit the alleged acts. (PAP)
