Rat filmed among the breads of a bakery in Bucharest. “It was full of mice and cockroaches”

A rat was caught running scared through the window of a bakery in Bucharest, while employees tried to chase it away with a stick.
“Bon appetit!“, is the message sent by the person who shared the video, noting that the bakery is located on Basarabia Boulevard in the Capital. Those who watched the video confirmed in the comments that it is the Basarabia Bakery, opposite the Mihai Flamaropol Rink, an area where the tram lines are changed.
Other users were rather amused by the situation, comparing the rodent to Ratatouille, the chef rat from the Disney animation that bears its name.
“Can I adopt him?“, asks an internet user.

Someone else was amused by the fact that “people are still waiting in line to buy.”
Former employees of some bakeries also commented.
“I worked in a bakery and there are rats everywhere, it was full of mice and cockroaches. There is no AI, this is the reality in bakeries.”
“I worked in a bakery and I didn't see any rats, there were devices for rodents everywhere, it depends on the organization and the interest of the boss, but for a rat to end up in the window is clear negligence“, writes a netizen in the comments section.
Although they may appear harmless, rats can cause significant damage, and their numbers increase in large cities. They are very fertile, managing to reproduce every 25 days.
They are also mobile and adaptable, able to survive on very little food. Control strategies include poisoning, trapping, and reducing food sources.
Rats can destroy infrastructure, contaminate food supplies, and transmit about 50 zoonotic diseases and parasites, such as salmonella and leptospirosis. Research also shows that rat infestations can have a negative impact on the mental health of affected individuals.
