FCSB lost narrowly to Bologna, 1-2, but had a nightmare start. Serie A's 5th place struck twice in the space of 3 minutes, so the scoreboard read 0-2 in the 12th minute.

At that moment, Ștefan Târnovanu feared that the evening could end badly for his team. In the end, the difference was minimal.

After FCSB – Bologna, Târnovanu admits: “I hoped it wouldn't turn out badly”

“It was a match with a good team, strong, very massive, but at the same time with very good speed. We started the game very, very badly. Maybe if we scored before the break, the fate of the match would have been different. We scored immediately after, but we didn't really create any more chances. It remains a defeat, a shame.

We have to learn from our mistakes, stop conceding so easily and maybe we will win the next matches.

at the moment [după golul 2]I hoped it wouldn't be nasty. After that, I tried to do my best to prevent that from happening. Fortunately, we didn't concede another goal after that minute. We scored and I think we played a solid game, even though we faced a very good team.

I'd rather have no shots on goal and have the team win. Or concede 6 goals, but win. That I still get some balls, after all that's what I have to do and I'm happy. But I'm not 100% happy, because we're losing and it's not OK”, said Târnovanu in the mixed zone.

Asked if the recent results affected him mentally, Târnovanu answered:

“You're under pressure. You're thinking. Especially after the last championship match, when you lost against a team that just came from the second league (no – Metaloglobus), naturally you're under pressure. But we have to go forward and win the games.”
