The NATO chief is also expected to talk about the 12-point peace plan developed by Europe and Ukraine. This concept provides for a ceasefire, the return of kidnapped Ukrainian children from Russia and an exchange of prisoners. Ukraine would receive security guarantees, funds to repair war damage and the possibility of quick accession to the European Union. The plan also assumes increasing economic pressure on Russia and increasing military aid for Kiev.

Bloomberg wrote on Tuesday about a 12-point project to end the war with Russia on the current front lines. The agency noted that the plan includes, among others: overseeing the implementation of the truce by a council headed by the US president.

The meeting between Trump and the NATO chief is scheduled for 16 (10 p.m. in Poland). It is not known whether Rutte's visit was planned before Tuesday's announcement by a White House official that a meeting between Trump and Putin was not planned any time soon.
