“He lost his sense of reality but gained his sense of the ridiculous”

Mihai Rotaru, the patron of the Craiova University, reacted after the attack of Mirel Rădoi, the team's coach, on the selector Mircea Lucescu.
Mirel Rădoi was stunned by the fact that the Romanian coach called the boss of FCSB to wish him success before the direct match between Olten and Bucharest, a match that ended with a 1-0 victory for the defending champion.
Mihai Rotaru sided with Mirel Rădoi and also launched an attack on the Romanian coach. “He lost his sense of reality, but instead gained a sense of the ridiculous”
After Mirel Rădoi, Mihai Rotaru also attacked Mircea Lucescu: “To paraphrase him: Mr. selector, we are sorry that we underestimated you”
“We can say, with regret, that the selector is in balance: he has lost his sense of reality, but instead he has gained a sense of the ridiculous.
I didn't talk to Mirel either before or after the selector's statements, but I felt the same revolt when I read them, and I can say that otherwise I rewatched the match with FCSB and what happened on the field. We all know that, along with Mr. Pădureanu, the selector was the greatest strategist of Romanian football, and here I mean not only the attention to details, but the organization of the macro-system, see the creation of Victoriei București and the promotion of Flacăra Moreni.
I can imagine what the meeting with the security generals looked like back then, in which he asked them not only to protect Dinamo, but also to create added value by establishing satellites.
And then why couldn't we imagine a meeting nowadays between the selector and the responsible factors in Romanian football, which could sound something like this: “The match with Austria is extremely important for the future of the national team and I need the planets to align to succeed. Considering that I have the most players since Mr. Becali, I want to do everything possible for them to come with high morale, so we need a victory for them against the University Craiova, because they only have two players in the lot and the crowd has to dictate.” Hypothetically speaking.
The selector's statements, including the initial ones, are not only indecent, they are aggressive. And we cannot accept that.
To paraphrase him: Mr. selector, we're sorry for underestimating you,” Mihai Rotaru said, according to iamsport.ro.
The film of the events: what triggered the dispute between Olteni and the selector Mircea Lucescu
-
The Romanian selector called Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB, to wish him success before the match between the red-blues and Olteni. “I spoke with Mircea Lucescu, I'm telling you for the first time. He called me about two hours before the match with Craiova and said: “Hey Gigi, I wish you success, because you need a lot in this match! I said I'd call you, to encourage you and to say good luck and success to you”, claimed the boss of the titular champion. Mircea Lucescu also confirmed the information later.
-
Mirel Rădoi launched an attack on the selector for this gesture at the press conference preceding the match with Unirea Slobozia in the Superliga. “I didn't believe, until I checked for myself, that a Romanian coach could have such a statement, where he calls another patron and says that he would like one team to win at the expense of the other. I find it shocking and that's all I can say!”
-
Mircea Lucescu responded to the attack in the press. “Can we no longer have personal relations? Radoi is proving to me with this that I was wrong when I said that I respected him. To say that I made a mess seems to me a form of denigrating me, as it happens with many voices in the last months”
