“What is happening in Romania? What happens to the Romanians over the Prut?!”, Alexandru Cozer begins the post published on Facebook.

According to the survey, only 35% of Romanians trust the country's ability to defend themselves, and only 28% would agree that Romania will support the Republic of Moldova in the event of a Russian invasion – despite the repeated statements of the Romanian army, who said that Romania would intervene to help Chisinau.

“I am almost shocked that half of the Romanians do not think that their country, a NATO member with modern military equipment from the Allied countries, could withstand the Russians even 48 hours. Russians who have demonstrated their limits in the last 3 and a half years, when they could not practically reach any goals in Ukraine. Drone over Ukraine weekly ”, Cozer writes.

The journalist claims that this collective fear and lack of solidarity towards the Republic of Moldova represents the direct effects of Russian propaganda, which has managed to seriously affect the perception of Romanians.

“It is a clear proof that Russian propaganda has extremely severely affected the collective minds of the Romanians. Which are simply frightened by a clay colossus, which is actually military today. Barbarians have also understood this and focused on the information war, where they see that success in Romania, as well as in Romania, as well as in the state, where Unprepared, who either runs after Cancan, or makes Moscow's games open ”, he added.

In conclusion, Alexandru Cozer warns that if things continue at this rate, Romania will be “Psychologically conquered” before being attacked militarily.

“At this rate Romania will be psychologically conquered without the need for any invasion, and in the future elections, Putin will install without any problem the puppets in power. It is time for Bucharest to understand in what situation the society has arrived and to really defend itself in the face of this informational war,” the journalist wrote.

Alexandru Cozer is one of the most appreciated journalists in the Republic of Moldova.

A survey conducted between 6 and 10 October 2025 shows that Romanians have opinions divided on the country's defense capacity, but mostly support the increase of military expenses and firm reactions to external threats. The results can be found here.
