In Krasnoyarsk, the court made a decision in a criminal case against a man who stole a phone from an apartment of a stranger.

The police said that in May 2024, a 46-year-old man called one of the apartments of a house on Semafonna Street. When the owner opened the door, the attacker introduced himself as his neighbor from below and stated that his apartment “Drings.”

“The owner of the apartment invited the attacker to enter, and he went to check the taps. Left in someone else's housing unattended, the man saw a cell phone, took it and left the apartment. He handed over the stolen property to the pawnshop, ”the police said.

The damage amounted to only 5 thousand rubles, but was the reason for the initiation of a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. The phone was found in a pawnshop. He was seized and returned to the owner.

The court found the attacker guilty and punished him with conditional deprivation of liberty for a term of 2 years.
